Bryce, 34 year old husband and father of 4, has been battling Aplastic Anemia since 2013. Aplastic Anemia is a rare Auto -Immune disease where the bone marrow stops producing sufficient blood cells. Bryce also developed a secondary disease, PNH, during the 1st year of his diagnosis. This disease causes the premature breakdown of red blood cells, and his body already doesn't make a sufficient amount.
After almost 4 years of treatments, infusions, & medical trials his doctors have decided that it is time for Bryce to move forward with receiving a Bone Marrow Transplant. This transplant will be a cure for both diseases and the answer to hundreds of prayers.
Bryce will receive transplant at MD Anderson in Houston, Tx in May. He will be required to be in Houston for 100 days from the day he receives transplant. His wife, Mindy, will remain in Oklahoma to work and care for their 4 children. She will travel to be with Bryce as much as time and finances will allow.
Bryce will be released from the hospital a few weeks after transplant but will be required to remain in Houston for treatment and monitoring for a complete 100 days. This poses a need for housing for Bryce and a caretaker. This page has been set up in an effort to help offset the cost of housing, travel and any medical expenses that insurance will not cover.
Your support is greatly appreciated. As always if you are unable to give financially, your prayers are just as important!
On behalf of Bryce, Mindy and their beautiful family we thank you for taking the time read and share their story!
