Battle for Bryan
Donation protected
Bryan is my last surviving brother. We lost our middle brother in a car accident 13 years ago. Bryan was born with bladder exstrophy (bladder outside the body) occurring in only 1 in 50,000 births. At that time newborns could not have surgery performed until they were at least 1 year old. Bryan was sent for care to the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA to be under the care of the leading urologist and pioneer in this treatment the late John W. Duckett Jr, MD. Bryan was and has been nothing short of a miracle in how well he has done with Dr Ducketts pioneering methods and has been recognized in medical journals in how well he has done throughout his entire life thus far.
The only issue Dr. Duckett was concerned with when he last seen Bryan at 15 years of age, was being at high risk of Bladder Cancer. That risk has now become a reality. There is never a good time to find out you have cancer! In the case of my brother, he had been unemployed for @ a year and focussed on becoming certified a home inspector and starting his own business, all of which he had just achieved and started promoting his new career when this was discovered. He can now cannot work and is not insured. He is getting help through Hendrick's Medical Center in Abilene, Texas, but they can only do so much and much more is needed.
Any help financially that would help my brother Bryan, that would allow him to continue to carry the flag for Bladder Exstrophy, have a, or what he says to him is a normal life, with his wife Ana and our family, would be a true blessing!!!! We know God has this, we just need some help.
