Benji's Battle

Donation protected
Loved ones,

It is with a heavy yet hopeful heart, that I am asking for your help and support for my lil buddy Benji and his family. On Feburary 23rd 2019 Benjamin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Like all cancers, leukemia begins from abnormal cell growth and division. Leukemia is a type of blood cancer that primarily affects white blood cells, which help fight infections in human bodies. Leukemia can also affect red blood cells and platelets, although this is less common. Abnormal leukemia cells don’t die off in the way normal white blood cells do, so as more cancerous cells are created, they take up room for healthy cells. As this process increases, the body struggles to fight infections and function properly. Which is now compromising Benji's immune system, making him susceptible to infection, bruising, bleeding, weightloss, bone pain, fatigue and more.

I fell in love with Benjamin the first day I met him, almost two years ago. His adorable smile, quick wit and sometimes brutal honesty, makes him one of the coolest kids I've had the pleasure of watching. Oh and is sharp as a tack. I'm serious, the kid is brilliant!

But, now Benjamin is currently being treated and cared for at OHSU Doernbecher in Portland, where he is receiving blood transfusions and chemotherapy twice a week. His parents are working very hard to manage the responsibilities of co parenting by trading shifts, one being with Benji, while the other returns to work, their home and other children. Being that they live in Springfield, returning to work full time has proven to be more than difficult. And is now creating a dreaded financial burden. I think by far one of the hardest things to do as a parent is attempt to return to everyday life, continue to work and provide, all while pretending not to be scared to death!

Benji and his family are in need of all the love, prayers and support they can get! Please consider making a small donation today. Every penny will help ease the stress of the financial hardship during this trying time!

It takes a village and I've been so incredibly blessed with one of the largest and most amazing so I'm asking all of you to please share this campaign and join me in helping lil Benji beat cancer!

Thank you and God Bless!!!
