Battle for Bee

My name is Bianca Frustaci and I am writing to you today to ask for your support.  I am 21 years old and have recently been diagnosed with Classical Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of lymphoma, which is generally believed to result from white blood cells of the lymphocyte kind.) My treatment is 6 months of Chemotherapy which I have already began. I am writing with the hope that you will be able to contribute to the Battle for Bee fund which is currently being used to organize a community fundraiser to help with this unexpected financial burden.

 

Here’s a bit about me:

-I’ve grown up and lived in Bridgeport, Chicago my entire life.
-Although my family has done their best to take care of me there have been several instances where I’ve been left to my own devices and have had to support myself.
In my teenage years:
-I spent some time getting into trouble but was able to find my way when I started going to the Valentine Boys & Girls Club.
-I worked my way up to becoming the President of Keystone Club at BGCC (equivalent to Student Council).
-I was voted in as Valentine Club’s Youth of the Year in 2012.
-I also got my first job from the Club and have always believed it to be my responsibility to give back to my community.
As a young adult:
-I started college at Joliet Junior College and I currently am finishing my bachelor degree at the University of Phoenix on a full scholarship.
-I am employed at the Valentine Boys & Girls Club as the Front Desk Manager.
-I am also employed as a Fashion Expert at Villa Shoe Store.
 

Because of my sickness, I am not allowed to work due to my low immune system and risk of getting infections. It’s very difficult for me to reach out and ask for help.  I am regularly a very self-sufficient person but this is a circumstance that neither I, nor anyone really expects to be in, especially at my age and I’m not sure where to turn as without the support of people like you, companies like you, and my community. So, I’m asking.

I’m asking for any type of donation you can manage.  I’m asking for you to support.  I’m asking for your help.
