Battle COVID with Joselito

Donation protected
I would have never thought that I would be creating a GoFund Me for us. I am the person that shares and donates to others but I have to put my pride aside and agree with my beloved esposo, We need help.
We had both been sick starting February 8th but while I eventually started getting better, Jose got worse. And he got worse at the worst time, when Texas went through the worst storm it had seen in many decades. Nobody had power or water and no Urgent Cares were open. We finally got him an e visit but it would take another 3 days before his prescriptions could be filled because the Pharmacies were closed. It was too little too late. I took him to the ER the morning of 2/19, the day before my birthday with an oxygen rate of 77 and a fever of over 104. He was admitted and transported to the hospital.
He tested positive for Covid and was diagnosed with Pneumonia; I was not allowed to go see him. For the first time, in over 8 years, we were apart. I spent my birthday alone, without my love while he was alone in a hospital. Sunday February 21st, Jose was moved to the ICU. He has been there ever since. He has been on so many different breathing masks, he is currently on the Bipap and is still getting high flow oxygen. He is now getting his meals via an IV. He is critical but stable. I try to send updates to friends and family twice a day.
Jose is a husband, a son, a father and a brother, a cousin and a friend, and he is loved. He is fighting for his life and the possible unknown side effects yet to come.
We do not know how long he will be hospitalized but we do know that it will be a long slow recovery.
We all know that Jose is a fighter and he is fighting the fight of his life. He is doing everything that the doctors and nurses have asked of him. Please do not contact Jose directly as he needs to rest and does not have the energy to read or respond to texts, calls, memes or well wishes. Please send them to me and I give him daily messages and they make him happy and do my best to update you.
Many of the people that know what is happening are asking how and if they can help. It is time to accept those offers. I have finally given in and am accepting this will take a village.
We appreciate you taking the time to read our story & anything at all helps. Stay safe and well, and thank you.
