Battle cancer with Greg

Donation protected
As I help my husband up the stairs to our home after another four-day stent at the hospital - due to infection brought on by an immunosuppressed, chemotherapy laden body... I can now really see the vulnerable weariness in his eyes.

Gregory McGhee, my husband, my best friend and father to my children was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma (AKA lymphatic cancer)- which I refer to as the (terrible cell) lymphoma, since less than 20% of lymphoma patients have this type, and the battle is that much harder. The T-cell lymphoma requires stronger chemotherapy drugs for a longer period of time, thus more damaging to the body. I am glad that they finally know what the problem is,  because he has been ill for a number of years now.

Greg believed he would be able to go back to work while on this harsh chemo drug regimen for he is the sole provider of our home - so it was extremely hard for him to admit that he just can't. I unfortunately had to stop working as a registered nurse long ago due to complications from a brain aneurysm. However, he made enough money to keep our family afloat. This, of course, has left us in a crisis due to our mortgage bill, car note, credit cards, living expenses, and most of us know about those incredible medical expenses.

To know Greg is to love Greg. He is one of the most thoughtful, caring people I know.  Father of five, grandfather of ten, he is always willing to help others in need.

Now Greg is in need. And I am hoping that those who know him, care about him, as well as those who simply sympathize/empathize with our situation, will help him during these rough times. Unfortunately, the worst is yet to come, for after a few weeks respite from this first chemotherapy regimen -  that lasted eighteen weeks, he is scheduled to be in the hospital again next month -  for at least a month to undergo a bone marrow transplant where he will be pumped with enough chemo drugs that would kill him if not for the transplant... And, this is followed by a  recuperation period at home for several more months before he can even think about returning to work.

This is an extremely stressful time in our family and I am trying to do my part to ease this burden as our bills are currently piling up. Please donate what you can (every dollar helps) and may God bless you for your generosity.
Thank you in advance and if you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks again.

Love ya,
Jackie
