I am running Battersea Park Half Marathon on the 20th of July for Mind UK - for mental health awareness.
I’m doing this to raise awareness for anyone struggling with their mental health, and to let people know they’re not alone, even when it feels like they are.
I know a lot of people would never expect this from me as on the outside I am always happy and probably talking too much. However, on the 6th of November 2024, I tried to take my own life. In one of the darkest times I have ever experienced, I truly believed there was no way forward. But somehow, I survived and I am very fortunate to still be here.
Since then, I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar Disorder. It hasn’t been easy since at all, but I’ve made it and I’m still discovering so many things that will help me in the long run. (No pun intended)
I am truly sorry to the people who are not with me on my journey anymore and to those who worry about me, who I should’ve turned to but I am in a slightly better place. For those around me who stuck by my side, I can’t thank you enough, including the paramedics, nurses and doctors who saved me and helped me through the difficult time.
This is just the start of my journey.
Please support me and Mind UK by donating here to help those in a place that no one should be.
