Battalion Wars Modding Tools fundraiser
The Story Behind the Modding Tools.
The Battalion Wars community has long aspired to develop custom content for Battalion Wars 1 and 2. To achieve this goal, we have initiated a fundraising campaign. Yoshi, a dedicated member of our community, has developed a pivotal tool that has significantly contributed to our efforts. This tool, available on GitHub, has been instrumental in creating high-quality custom missions, including those by Koopanique.
Despite its utility, the tool has limitations, notably its lack of 3D editing capabilities for a 3D game and its restriction to basic edits like object positioning and common attributes. To overcome these challenges, we've supplemented our toolkit with additional scripts and tools for more comprehensive game modifications.

This First goal
The first goal of this fundraiser is to fund the creation of a 3d tool to address some of these shortcomings, including but not limited to the precise location of objects as well as the need for almost 5 other tools if you are doing some of the more complex mods.

Our other goals
We aim to enhance our platform by incorporating features that facilitate the automation of object and unit transfers between missions, a task that has presented challenges despite the utilization of existing tools. Furthermore, we are exploring the possibility of integrating script editing capabilities directly within the editor. Our ultimate goal is to amalgamate all current tools into a single, cohesive system, thereby streamlining our workflow and eliminating the need to switch between multiple tools to accomplish tasks.
