The Friends of Oleksandriya ( www.friendsofo.co.uk) are starting this new fundraiser with a target of £5,000 to support 30 children, aged 16-17, from school Number 11 in Kramatorsk, Ukraine. These students have been learning online since the pandemic and, although they continue to see each other virtually, they have not had the opportunity to meet in person for many years because of the war.

During my recent visit to Oleksandriya, I learned about this new project aimed at helping these students reunite. As they approach their final school year, they are keen to spend a few days together at a camp before the intensity of their exam preparations begins.
