Bath Comedy Festival

We were so sad to have to postpone Bath Comedy Festival this year due to the desperate situation brought about by the Coronavirus pandemic. As most of you know, the Festival does not produce events for the money, but for the love of Bath, and the love of comedy.
Over the years we’ve been able to bring an amazing number of amazing acts to Bath, from veterans like Barry Cryer and TV names like Jon Richardson, to International cutting edge acts such as Doug Stanhope, whilst always encouraging new talent and championing women in comedy. We’ve had so many wonderful nights. Over the past couple of years, thanks to the sponsorship of Lovehoney and support of Bath Ales and many others, we’ve been able to do more, better. It’s been inspiring to watch so many years of work by so many people build into something Bath can truly be proud of.
This year’s 12th annual Festival had over 180 shows planned, plus an Edinburgh preview season and more events throughout the year. Whenever possible, we have always partnered with and used local suppliers, and we are determined that they will be paid for all the work they’ve done, or see the aims of their partnerships come to fruition. To this end, and to try to mitigate future jeopardy, we have set up this GoFundMe to help with the postponement/rearrangement of this festival, and the birth of the next. Every single penny raised will go to paying people and getting our house in order so that we may again present something that everyone in Bath can be proud of, and that everyone involved will enjoy.
Supporters who donate £20 or more to this fund will all be thanked in the future programme, and anyone giving £100 or more will be invited to a VIP launch party.
