Help Our Family Avoid Homelessness
Our disabled family of 4 is in a desperate situation, fighting legal battles due to a negligently operated mobile home park attempting to repossess our fully owned home that still has another $12k in roof payments over the next decade. We have been unable to make rent payments since income was lost due to injuries and disabilities. Management didn't notify residents that their license was revoked from October 2024 until December 2025, but they collected rent and operated business as usual, with constant boil water notices. We were able to pay rent until April when LTD was terminated and we are in a legal suit about that, but that's one legal battle of several.
Both adults are medically fully disabled but not receiving SSI due to systemic denials and have lawyers in appeals fighting for us. We're also working with an independent disability advocate agency who generously sponsored our family for the holidays, assisting with utility bills, money for necessities, and hauling away a clothes dryer. We are also in communication with a state senator representative and legal aid. We all have case workers trying to help, but resources are limited.

Our Children's Needs:
Our teenagers are homeschooled, in a 10th grade curriculum, so need internet access for their educational materials, as well as ink for their printed documents. Daughter requires health care products, and our son outgrows his clothes rapidly. They are seeing grief consoler therapists for past trauma and not knowing if we're going to be on the street, as we don't have backup housing support that would have 3 bedrooms. The teenage girl and boy sharing a room isn't an option, but we could do 2 bedrooms for the kids and turn a living room into a bedroom.
