Bastian Family Fund

Please help a tremendously kind and generous family raise funding so they may stay together as a supportive family unit at the ICU bedside of one of their own.  

Karlyn Bastian is the mother of four courageous young men.  She is one of my close friends and co-workers here in New Hampshire and I know that her family is everything to her.  Her oldest son is Ryan.  He is 32 years old and was a combat medic in the army for six years.  He has a beautiful wife named Antonette.  

Last week, Ryan was in a severe motorcyle accident, which has left him in a coma and on full life support.  Despite wearing a helmet he is left with severe brain swelling from several skull fractures, a broken neck and multiple  broken bones in the rest of his body that will require surgery once his brain swelling decreases and an MRI is possible.  He is currently undergoing a cooling process to help keep his intracranial pressure at a safe level.  

Karlyn and two of her sons have flown to San Francisco, where Ryan and Antonette live.  They have been remaining at Ryan's side since the accident.  As you can image, this is very taxing on everyone who has put all life on hold to be supportive to each other during this tragedy and to be there for Ryan.  

Please find it in your heart to help this amazing family stay together at the bedside of their brave figheter.  He is their son, brother, husband and friend.  If you are unable to donate financially, please help by sending positive thoughts and prayers to the Bastian familiy.  Any extra funds will be used to pay for Ryan's medical bills.
