We are two mums that have children at Bassingbourn Primary School, our children love the school and we love running, so we thought about putting the two together and raise funds for the school through running a HALF MARATHON!

The children in key stage 2 have a great playground to play in, recently they have had new playground activities painted onto the play ground for the children to enjoy. However there is very little shade for the growing number of children who attend the school. After approaching 'Friends of Bassingbourn Primary school' and the staff to see what could be done to help improve this, it was agreed that a sail/canvas covering like the one in the picture would be of real benefit.

Not only will the children be able to use it for shade in the playground during break times, it would help deliver more classes outside which the children really enjoy.

Our half marathon fundraising event in Ely will take place on the 26th September 2021. Any donation that you make will go to this much needed project.
