Giving Tuesday - Woodford's Story
Tax deductible
In honor of Giving Tuesday we would like to share with you of the story of a very special hound named Woodford. This sweet boy serves as an example of the funds required to care for and heal dogs that make their way to our rescue.
Woodford came into rescue at only 4 weeks old. He was accepted into our program with two of his littermates. At the time, Woodford was a healthy, thriving puppy. Now, just months later, we have learned that Woodford suffers from a very painful growth abnormality in his front legs which makes it nearly impossible for him to walk.
Woodford has been to specialists that have advised an Ulnar Ostectomy be done immediately to correct this problem in both of his front legs.
This surgery is very complex and therefore, very costly.
Through the generosity of our supporters, Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas funds all medical expenses of basset hounds in our care. This surgery is an absolute necessity for Woodford to be able to live a healthy, pain free life.
Please help us continue our mission and consider making a donation toward Woodford's campaign so he can live the happy, playful life that any 7 month old puppy deserves. Any amount raised that is above the cost of Woodford's surgery will go to the medical expenses of other dogs in our care.
Basset Buddies Rescue is a 501c3 non profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
