Basketball Dreams: Antwerp to Chicago

Hi everyone,

My name is Alhassan, and I’m a basketball coach and youth worker based in Antwerp, Belgium. I’m currently working with two incredibly talented and driven youth who have just been given the opportunity of a lifetime:

To travel to Chicago and compete in elite basketball tournaments where American college scouts will be present. From the 9th of July till the 22nd.

For these inner-city youth—who are also active members of my nonprofit youth organization, SafeSpace—this trip is much more than just basketball. It’s their chance to earn a college scholarship in the U.S. and change the course of their lives through sport and education.

What the Funds Will Cover:

Your generous support will help us cover all the essential expenses for this 14-day trip to Chicago, including:

• Flights for the two youth and myself as their coach and chaperone

• Tournament fees and registration for multiple competitive showcases

• Accommodation for the full duration of the stay

• Local transportation, including rental car and fuel

• Meals and daily essentials throughout the trip

• Travel insurance and administrative costs to ensure everything runs safely and smoothly
