Basil's Emergency Vet Stay

I'm assuming if you're here you know me or my husband, and if you know either if us then you must know my best friend Basil. Basil is a 6 year old jack Russell mix pup with the biggest heart. He loves carrots, and cuddles, and showing off all this tricks. Basil is sort of the mascot of our friend group. He goes everywhere with us, cabin trips, parties, cons. He loves EVERYONE and I have yet to know of someone who didn't just instantly fall in love with him.
Friday afternoon we returned home from our daughter's theater showcase to discover Basil had gotten into something. He's had a habit of this and I am usually so careful but this time I wasn't. He had pancreatitis and is super sensitive to anything he ingests. We had only been gone for about an hour but by the time we got back he was twitching and drooling and clearly not doing well. We rushed him into the Emergency Vet and the instruction of our normal vet and after an evaluation they decided they at the very least needed to keep him overnight. His heart rate was pretty low and he was really out of it. Keeping him there on fluids for 24 hours while monitoring his heart rate, breathing, glucose, and temp was $1,160. We we're told though that we should anticipate it reaching as much as 2k depending on what they may have to do while he is there. They also had to give him an injection for nausea. Last night his heart rate dropped to a scary 70 and to prevent it from getting any lower they had to jolt it back up with a dose of atropine which is did get him back to a stable place for a bit but it has been slowly dropping again and last we heard at around 8:40am it was sitting around 90. His temp has also dropped in the meantime, which is concerning to them. We have spoken to our normal vet and she has said she doesn't want us to bring him home until we have a solid 4-6 hours at least of his heart rate sitting at at least 110 and his temp being normal. His check out is at 7pm so we are very likely looking at another night of him being there which will double our costs. It is no secret that my love for this dog is huge. There is a long running joke that Garrett (my husband) often questions if I am even capable of loving him as much as I do Basil... It's definitely a very very close call. This may be the most traumatic thing I have lived through. The last 20 some hours has felt like weeks. I am in shock a bit. I haven't cried yet bc I'm too panicked. I don't want money to be what prevents us from saving him and doing right by him. I am not one to ask for help but we were JUST hit with some HUGE life stuff. We lost Chris cat and the vet costs for all of that were significant, Garrett's car died and the repairs we paid for in an attempt to salvage it are still hanging over us. Garrett's student load payments kick in the month and his work place has yet to bump him up to the pay rate they told him he should be at not that he has completed his 2nd bachelor's. I simply do not think we can do this without help. So as much as I hate this I am humbling myself to not just asking but BEGGING for help. It's already daunting and if we have to let him stay there another night I don't know what we can do. We were also told to expect to have some prescriptions to fill for him when we do eventually take him home. We have care credit but it's maxed with all my medical debt from cervical/uterine cancer and then the vet bills we had with Chris that we could pay for out of pocket and some of the ones we could pay for when Basil has triggered his pancreatitis and had a flare up in the past. Please if you can help at all we would be so grateful. I do what I can to pay it forward when and where I can and I promise this would be no different. I really I just want Basil to get the care he deserves. No creature should have to suffer because of a lack of money.
