Basil’s emergency surgery

Hi all. 

If you know me, you know Basil. I found her in a parking lot 6 years ago and have referred to her as my lil soul baby ever since. She is the sassiest, cuddliest cat to have ever walked this earth. 

I took her into the vet because it seemed like she was struggling to cough up a hairball, and long story short, things quickly turned for the worse. She could barely breathe & had to go to the emergency vet immediately. 

She had to be sedated for tests (X-rays, ultrasounds, is currently restricted to an oxygen tank so she can breathe, CT scans to look for obstructions) and of course because of COVID, I can’t even be there with her.

As you can imagine, what has brought me to make this page is to ask for help with vet bills. I will be draining my savings to pay for the down payment to be eligible for a payment plan (all of which I would do 100 times over because I love this cat more than I can describe) but I am asking for any help I can get. I am emotionally, mentally, & financially overwhelmed by this. 

The total is minimally $4000, so I am asking for help. Thank you for reading this and considering helping us. Basil literally means the world to me, and I hope to share good news ASAP.
