Our father grew up in rural Jamaica and attended Comfort Hall All-Age and Primary School as a young boy. He never forgot his humble beginnings and the impact Comfort Hall had on his life. He always credited Comfort Hall School as he continued his education in Kingston, from high school to a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona.

He had fond memories of his time at Comfort Hall as a young boy. Over the years, he supported the school with donations and materials, so upon his passing in 2024, we set up the Basil A. Jones Memorial Scholarship, as we felt a scholarship was the best way to honor his memory.

In 2024, our inaugural year, we raised enough from friends and family to fund scholarships for 4 students - Jannoy Dennis, Gabrielle Knight, Shakeem McLeish, and Nathalia Roberts - to continue their education in high school. Each scholarship will cover the cost of tuition, books, and school uniforms - and will cover the cost of tuition and incidentals throughout their time in high school.

The Comfort Hall school principal has identified students based on academic performance and financial need. We're hoping to keep the generosity going, and any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
