I am an Eritreans citizen living in Uganda as a refugee. I am a differntly abled women as a result of Polio. I was a law school student until I was forced to leave my country.
I left my country because I wrote a research paper titled homosexuality rights in Eritrean. After I was imprisoned for 2 weeks as a result of this paper, my advisor as well as my law school instructors pled on my behalf and convinced the government to let me go home until further investigation. I fled my country as soon as I could after being released. Because I knew they would imprison me indefinitely if they looked at my other research paper. I am now living in Uganda and I don't have a support system. I am sorry to be asking for assistance because as a disabled woman my pride has always been on my ability to be independent. My worst nightmare was becoming a cliche of disabled women unable to support herself. But since there is nothing else I can do, I ask for your assistance. What you contribute doesn't matter. Just whatever you can afford will be enough.
