Basic needs for single mom and 2 kids

Hello!

my name is Jillian, and I have 2 beautiful kids, Homer (6) and Garnet (3). We moved from Portland, OR to Kentucky about a year ago, and at the same time their dad and I split. Soon after we split, I was dealing with the cost of lawyers and custody evaluations, paying the cost of moving cross country, getting a new house set up for the kids and in Kentucky, and paying out of pocket for my final classes to get my midwifery degree which I’d started in Portland. The custody case has been long and expensive already, and we’ve reached no answers yet. I’ve spent all my savings on moving and lawyers fees, and do not have the money to take the national exam to become certified and able to practice as a midwife. The current schedule with the kids also has them with me all but 5 days/month, meaning if I got a bar job (covid permitting), I’d likely be making only enough to pay for the childcare to go to work.

I am feeling incredibly insecure about our future, especially as this new surge of covid takes over. I would appreciate any help that can be spared to help us buy food, pay our bills, and keep our home we’ve grown to love.
