BASHO’S BAFTA

At 14 yrs I had a dream of being an actor.

The application forms from various Drama Schools found their way to the bin and life took on many varied journeys which I have loved.

Now, 60 years later, I sent an application for a full time theatre training and was successful at audition and have been offered a place. I am thrilled at the possibility of a new career at 74 and a dream come true.

However due to knee replacement surgery and ensuing hemorrhage in June I have not been able to work and thus the pot is empty.

I have been prompted by friends to raise funds with a ‘go fund me’ for the required deposit needed in the next three weeks . My aim is to raise £1,400 so any extra would go towards my ensuing term's fees.

I am humbly grateful and jubilant for all contributions and so much good will that has been already offered...

I believe it's true, that it is not all about the "final act " but the journey with all that it entails ...
