Bashkim Berisha

Hi, the man in the picture is Bashkim Berisha. He lives in Gjakove, Kosovo and is a close friend to my in-laws/ their family. Bashkim was working the other day and was involved in a severe accident. He was leaving a job site and riding his bicycle home (the only means of transportation to and from work) when a drunk driver smashed right into him. Bashkim suffered fractures, lacerations, broken ribs, and a spinal injury. Those around said he had catapulted anywhere from 15-20 feet in the air and 25-30 feet from the car. It's a miracle that he even survived the wreckage. Unfortunately for Bashkim, he is the only sole provider for his family. Living in a war-torn country, the means for work or money generally are very scarce. Bashkim has undergone surgery in Pristina, where he is currently in stable condition. His family is on their own, with only neighbors to rely on for meals/ groceries and a few euros (money) to help them get by.
