Changing lives though baseball

Donation protected

Meet 4 young men who set out on a journey together to enrich their lives through their love of baseball. They have goals and aspirations of playing in the majors someday.
I have come to know these remarkable young men because every year, our travel baseball team and its owner Michael Spradlin, partners up with Fred O'Brien, a missionary out of the Dominican Republic to lead a baseball training program and team in Constanza.
This program gives baseball players the chance to come to the US to learn and play baseball and possibly get scouted.

This year, I have been given the humbling opportunity to help host these amazing young men - Darlin, a (13) year old pitcher, Manuel (16) a catcher whose pop time is insane, Hendrys (16) outfielder and Justin (19) a pitcher currently throwing 93 mph, who are all part of “Christ
the King” baseball ministry.

Unfortunately, they came over with less than adequate gear. Gloves that are too small with no padding (or no gloves at all), catchers gear
that is not safe and not rated, etc.....
They have been staying at my home with me, my husband Brian, and our 10 year old twins, Nathan and Reagan, and have become part of     our family.
They have become surrogate big brothers to my kids and are their #1 fans at all their activities.
These boys have also become apart of our Mustang Family... Helping the younger boys with drills and practice, and also attending games.

Recently, my son came to me asking for my help with his idea to raise money to get these amazing young men some suitable (and SAFE) new equipment, he was set on a lemonade stand... Living on a cul-de-sac that may take a while..

So this baseball Mom (and now "host" Mom) is jumping into action. If you can help support these boys by making a donation and then share it out to your network of friends and family, we would be forever grateful.

I know that money can be tight, so please know that even $5 helps us get closer to our goal. Any money left over will be donated back to the church to help sponsor more boys to come next year.

And if you cannot donate, you can still help by just sharing their story and helping to get the word out about our goal.
I cannot put into words how much these boys have taught our family in the time they have been here, and we would really love to give back in a way that I know we all can.
