Hi, Im Bobbie Bascue, 48 year old mother of 3 boys and grandmother of a 4 year old grandson and 5 month old granddaughter. My story is much like countless others that you will read on gofundme.com. I have been plagued by fibromyalgia for going on 20 years now. I was one of the fortunate ones that was able to work; however, almost four years ago my life got turned upside down and I spent most of my time in bed due to extreme fatigue, pain and depression. My husband and I went from a 2 income house to 1 overnight WITHOUT WARNING! We have now spent the last 4 years fighting the State of Kansas for my disability..denial after denial..while all I wanted to do was get back to work..knowing at the time it wasnt possible taking 20 medications and feeling like dying. I also had other illnesses to deal with. I ended up having my parathyroid out and learning I have Addison's. I was devastated. We weren't able to get ANY State assistance. .No Food, No Healthcare, No cash...NOTHING because my grandmother (bless her) set my sons up a college fund and that is considered a family asset..even though it belongs to my sons and we can't cash it out except to use for college!?! We started selling everything we owned trying to make ends meet..but eventually, after much agonizing, due to my medical bills had to file bankruptcy. The good news is that i'm down to 14 meds a day, fighting to work part-time..but since my ex-husband owes almost $60,000 in child support and all I get from Child Support Enforcement is "we can't make him pay", we are still behind on our house payment and really need to get caught back up. Hopefully, by then I will be able to continue making the payments with my new job. I know there are a lot of people who need help on here so you help who you feel like deserves your donation.
