Help Me Compete at International Triathlons
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Julian—a triathlete, student, and South African based in Zurich.
I’m at a make-or-break stage in my triathlon journey: competing internationally, improving steadily, but not yet at the level where prize money or sponsorships cover my expenses. This creates a tough balance—I invest all my time and energy into training, studying, and traveling to races, but financial returns are still out of reach.
In 2025, my focus is on reaching the top 5 at the African Championships, a top 20 finish at the U23 World Championships, and collecting more points at World and European Cups to climb the rankings.
Your support will help me fund travel, accommodation, and race entry fees as I push towards the next level.
About Me
I train with TG Hütten in Zurich while pursuing a Master’s in Civil Engineering at ETH Zurich. I also coach our team’s youth group, enjoy creating videos with my drone, and like cooking.
I moved to Switzerland in 2020 for my bachelor’s degree, completed internships in civil engineering, and started my master’s in end of 2024. I’m taking three years instead of two to balance my studies with my triathlon goals, aiming to graduate in 2027.
My Triathlon Journey
Pre-2020: Competitive swimmer for 11 years.
2020–2021: Started triathlon during Covid— no races, but steady progress.
2022: I started with local competitions here in Switzerland including National League races - the results were double digits.
2023: The results became single digit - such as 6th at the Swiss Championships and 3rd at the National League race in Yverdon.
2024: First international season—32nd at Europe Cups (Holten & Wels), Top 30 at U23 World Championships - meaning double digits again.
2025: Can I break into single-digit international results?
If you are a company looking to support an athlete on the rise, I’d love to explore how we can work together!
Thanks for your support!
