Run Chicago Marathon for Bartimeus Eye Research

October 13 2019, I will run the Marathon of Chicago for my son Lars and the organization Bartimeus!
Bartimeus is a Dutch non-profit organization (www.bartimeus.nl) doing research, diagnostics and treatment for children who are blind or visually impaired.
Bartimeus was our guardian angel at the moment we heard that Lars was not able to see. It is unbelievable what kind of examination they can do with a baby of 3 months old. Their correct diagnosis and treatment at that moment have brought Lars to where he is now; a high energy toddler who can participate in everything his peers do. Future research can help more children, more rare eye disorders and hopefully will bring more for Lars as well.
By supporting my run, you're supporting Bartimeus' mission to fund more research and resources that help blind and visually impaired children and their families today and in the future.
Eyes are so important in our daily life....

Op 13 October 2019, ga ik de Chicago Marathon rennen voor mijn zoontje Lars en de organisatie Bartimeus!
Bartimeus is een non profit organisatie (www.bartimeus.nl) gericht op onderzoek, diagnostiek en behandeling van kinderen die blind of slechtziend zijn.
Bartimeus heeft ons enorm geholpen in de eerste, onzekere maanden (en ook daarna) dat wij hoorden dat Lars niet kon zien. Het is ongelooflijk welke onderzoeken ze kunnen doen bij een baby'tje van 3 maanden oud. Hun onderzoeken en juiste behandeling op dat moment hebben Lars gebracht waar hij nu is; een enorm vrolijk, energiek ventje die in alles mee kan doen net zoals zijn leeftijdsgenootjes. Toekomstig onderzoek zal nog meer kinderen met zeldzame oogaandoeningen kunnen helpen en hopelijk ook verdere behandeling voor Lars.
Door mij te sponsoren, support je Bartimeus in hun missie voor meer onderzoek en middelen. Hiermee help je kindjes die blind of slechtziend zijn, nu en in de toekomst.
Ogen zijn zo belangrijk, iedere dag weer....
