Barth Family Assistance

I am starting this fundraiser for my brother Fred and his family. A few days ago we received the worst phone call of our lives that his son, my nephew Landen had been struck by a vehicle and he was in bad shape. We did not have a whole lot of information other than that. Covid made things even harder to find answers and it would be hours until we got one. Two days before we were certain he was out of the woods. He suffered multiple injuries, a gaping wound on his shoulder, deep lacerations on his face, multiple broken bones, broken teeth, and the most scary of all, a severe concussion and brain bleed. We struggled getting the bleed under control but our Landen is a fighter and he defeated the odds and pulled through the worst of our fears. Landen is going to need extensive physical therapy, dental work, many visits to doctors and likely future surgeries.  He has already accumulated almost 115k in medical expenses. My brother will need to take off work to be there for his son and family. On top of all this going on his family has a newborn son to care for. My brother told me with tears in his eyes, "I can't believe I brought a son in this world and almost lost one at the same time." Landen is the first born of his generation. I can't express how much we love him. He is a bright honor roll student. He loves gaming on his computer, riding his bicycle and dirt bike. He enjoys learning how to build things and work on cars with his father. He is an amazing big brother to his sister Kamryn and brand new brother Jack. He has many friends and family that absolutely adore him. He is so many more things that I wish I had more room to write. I want more than anything for his recovery to be as smooth as possible. He did not deserve what happened to him and no child should have to suffer. I hope this fund can ease the financial strain on my brother and his family so that Landen can have the best recovery as possible with both parents by his side. At this time my brother would  not be able to afford to take anymore time off work to be with his family. I also do not want my brother to have to worry about choosing between making a mortgage payment and paying for his sons treatment. Let's get together and help Landen, his father and mother Fred and Caroline and his little sister and brother Kamryn and Jack.
