Hi Y'all
This is Ben and Angela, owners of the local dive bar, the 90 West Lounge. We're located at 12740 Culver Blvd. in the Del Rey Neighborhood. For the very first time, since we've taken over the business in 2011, we had to close our doors and completely shut down. It's all due to this terrible Covid-19 pandemic that we're all faced with. Our last day open was on March 15, 2020.
We're all struggling in our own way, with this crisis. We are doing everything we can, to get ready to reopen the 90 West Lounge when the restrictions are lifted. But our struggles don't compare to that of our wonderful and dedicated Bartenders. Because we don't serve food, we are unable to do any "To Go" sales, which leaves them completely jobless and left to file for unemployment. And with the unemployment rate figures predicted to reach over a record 30% in this country, we all know that process will take some time to actually see any kind of payments. Commonly, in the service industry, many Bartenders, including our 90 West staff, do not have a lot saved for a rainy day, and lets face it.... its pouring right now!!! Like everyone else, their rents and bills have to paid, but without their regular jobs where they depend heavily on customer gratuity, it makes it extremely hard on them.
And this is where you come in...we're asking for everyone's help. If you are able to donate any amount, small or large, for the amazing Bartenders of the 90 West Lounge, that would be so appreciated. All the funds will go directly to them. We don't know how long this will last, but seeing people helping each other out is a beautiful thing! We're all in it together! BTW, we completely understand if you cant donate, but maybe you can please help by sharing this page on social media? For those of you that can, a great big THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!! They will very much appreciate it!!!
