Bart Wiens Loveland Colorado

Bart retired on 3 March 2017 at the age of 66. Bart and Diane were on a trip to celebrate his retirement, when after visiting his sister and brother-in-law in Edinburg Texas, they headed to San Antonio. After a few days in San Antonio, the plan was to head home to Colorado. That is when a life changing event took them by surprise. Bart had an aneurysm in his leg. Long story short, the circulation to the lower leg did not return and he had a below the knee amputation after being in a San Antonio hospital for 1 week.

Bart’s spirits have always been good. Bart has leaned on his faith and is grateful even in the adverse times for the blessings he has in his life. He has had so much support and through that support it is easy to see that Bart has always been a kind-hearted person, helpful to anyone that needed his assistance, now it is his time. Thank you all for your love, support, calls, notes, well wishes, the list goes on…..we are grateful for everyone that is in his life.

We have started this Go Fund Me page to help him off set some of the cost that he has incurred by having this health issue on the road, which resulted in medical costs, airline tickets, travel expense for family members to help, lodging etc. We want him to start retirement off on the right foot….Bart, that is a little pun for you!
