It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Lolo, Bart Pakingan. After a courageous battle with cancer that began in 2020, he peacefully joined our Lord on July 23, 2025, at 11:50 AM.
For those who knew him, Lolo Bart was more than just a grandfather—he was a devoted husband, a loving father, a grandfather that took a father figure role, and a true friend to many. He was a brilliant man, a jack of all trades who could fix anything and lend a hand to anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and selflessness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He always put others before himself, spreading joy and wisdom wherever he went.
This year, his fight grew harder, and the pain became too much. But even in his final months, he faced everything with strength, dignity, and love for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma, and his children: Maricel, Racquel, Henry, and Christine.
To honor his wishes, we are planning two memorials—one here in California for his close friends and extended family, and a funeral service in the Philippines, where he will be laid to rest.
We are asking for donations to support in covering the costs of these services and other expenses. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to us and help us celebrate Lolo Bart’s life in the way he deserves.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful.
With love,
The Pakingan Family
