Hi,
Our names are Alan and Alison Walker and our dad is Barry Walker. He is having rotator cuff surgery on Oct 22 and needs your help!
He is a lifelong mechanic who has spent his live giving to others, never asking for anything in return. Often you can find him working on peoples cars who cannot afford to fix it and he never asks for a dime. Maybe he has helped you in a similar situation. Now is your time to help repay him for his good will.
Our dad is also an avid motorcyclist who is one of Georgia's Area Representatives for the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA). If you've attended a motorcycle rally is the past several years, you've most likely seen him out fellowshipping with other bikers (Christian and non-Christian alike), spreading the word and teaching people about God.
This invasive surgery will require him to stay off his bike, not turn a single wrench or generally work at all for 8-10 weeks following his surgery, putting the livelihood of our parents in danger.
Our father is the kind of man who always puts his family and community first. In his effort to keep food on the table and bills paid on time, he has put off this surgery for far too long. In order to help us get through school, he has managed the pain alone. Now that we are out (or nearly out) of school, we wantt o help repay all the support he has given us.
Our goal here is to raise $20,000 to cover his surgery costs, therapy after and minimal monies to supplement the $0 income he will be able to make for 2-3 months.
Please give what you can to help our dad in this time of need. If 200 people just gave $100 each, we will reach our goal! Obviously, not everyone is able to give that much, but know that any little bit counts.
Thank you!
Alan and Alison
