Barry's Cremation and Funeral costs.

Hello everyone, as most of you know my uncle Barry has had a couple strokes over the last few years. First one was caught in time to reverse it. The second left him paralyzed on his left side and he had to go through physical therapy and was able to regain some of his mobility but just recently on October 14th he was rushed by ambulance to the hospital unresponsive. After doing ct scans and an MRI it was found that he had suffered what is known as an ischemic stroke meaning a clot formed at his brain stem and cut off all oxygen and blood flow to his brain. He was rushed into emergency surgery where he was intubated and put on a ventilator, and the blood clot was removed. The following morning he was taken off sedation while still being on the ventilator with high hopes he would improve but he showed no improvement meaning the deprivation had done to much damage to his brain and leaving him completely paralyzed. On October 18th the neurologists and palative care nurse wanted to meet with the family to discuss our options of doing a tracheotomy and feeding tube through his stomach in which would be the only way we could give him more time of 4-6 weeks to make a turn around but that wasn't guaranteeing that would happen. They said how we see him now is how it would be for him for the rest of his life. That there was no chance that he'd ever wake up. At his request of not wanting to live on a machine with no quality of life, we as his family respect that and selflessly made the heartbreaking decision to take him off life support without undergoing the tracheotomy and feeding tube procedure instead to let him go naturally. At this time he will stay on life support until Thursday October 21st for family and friends that would like to say their final goodbyes. I've made this page to raise money for his cremation and funeral cost as this was a very unexpected tragedy and we don't have the funds to have him cremated nor give him a proper service.. any and all proceeds will go for Barry's Cremation and funeral.
