Barry’s AI Research Program tuition funding
Donation protected
Hi! I’m Barry, a high school student deeply passionate about using artificial intelligence to tackle real-world medical challenges.
I’ve been accepted into Algoverse, an elite AI research program that will give me access to formal mentorship, hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI models, and a community of innovators. This opportunity will help me move beyond self-guided learning and take a major step toward my goal of building medically robust, scalable AI tools to address urgent needs in areas like cardiovascular disease. Additionally, the experience has had many positive results with 90% of scholars who were accepted for their merit scholarship like me publishing in world-renowned AI research conferences like NeurIPS and EMNLP.
My journey so far has blended my love for biology with a growing mastery of AI. I’ve used generative AI to accelerate my own coding and research workflows — but I don’t just use these tools, I study how they work, and apply them to biological systems I research. Still, I know that structured guidance is essential to move from experimentation to true impact. That’s what Algoverse offers — and why this opportunity is so important to me.
Although I got in with one of their most prestigious merit scholarships (<1% acceptance) which covers 15% of my tuition, unfortunately, due to recent family financial setbacks the program’s tuition is beyond our current reach as priorities have shifted. I need to raise $1500 by May 28th to attend. Every dollar you give will help cover this cost and allow me to participate without placing further stress on my family.
This program is more than a summer experience — it’s a chance to transform years of independent learning into scalable, life-changing work. I want to give back to communities like mine that often don’t see themselves reflected in science or technology.
Whether you donate $5 or $50, or simply share this page with others, thank you for helping me chase a future I’ve worked hard to build — and one I hope to use to help others do the same.
