Donations in memory of Barry – Supporting the Chorley Community Friendship Group

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Barry – a loving father, husband, brother, grandad, and friend to so many. His personality made a lasting impact on everyone he met.

In lieu of flowers, we are inviting donations to a group that Barry enjoyed attending in his latter years – the Chorley Community Friendship Group.

Barry was a regular and much-loved attendee of the group, which meets weekly at Chorley Football Club. With it's basis in Dementia, Memory loss and Social Isolation the group provides friendship, company, and a sense of belonging to those who might otherwise feel alone. From a warm brew and a chat, to games, gentle activities, and shared stories, the group brings people together in the spirit of community, something Barry believed in deeply.

We know it would make him smile to see support for the group and his friends there continue in his memory. All donations will go directly towards running the group and helping it reach more people in need of connection and companionship.
