Hi my name is Jordan and writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
If you ever walked into Ink Well Tattoo on Silas Creek Parkway, you probably met my dad. If you ever sat in that lobby nervous about your first tattoo, laughed with the artists, or left feeling proud of the art on your skin, then you know the place he built. You know the man he is.
My dad has always been the kind of person who shows up for everyone. He gives more than he takes. He helps quietly and never asks for anything in return. He’s spent his whole life taking care of other people.
Right now he’s in the ICU fighting for his life.
A severe infection turned into sepsis. He’s on a ventilator. He’s already been through emergency surgery and has more ahead. The man who spent his life working with his hands is now sedated and relying on machines just to breathe.
Before this his health had already been declining. He hasn’t been able to tattoo or work for a while. Tattooing was his livelihood. When he lost that he lost his income. Now the medical bills are piling up and our family is facing something we never imagined.
My dad is strong. He’s a fighter. And he’s not done yet.
He would hate that I’m writing this. He’s always been the one who shows up for everyone else. But I’m his daughter and I love him more than anything.
Thank you for keeping him in your thoughts and for standing with our family while he fights to come home.
