The Friends of Barry School  working as the Barry Cares Group is made up of staff members of John Barry School in Chicago with the mission of helping our school community and families with financial support during this Covid-19 crisis.  Many of our families have lost their jobs and have no source of income.  The funds collected will be directly given back to the families by way of a $100 gift card that can be used to assist with personal expenses including food and shelter.  Barry School is located in the northwest side of Chicago and serves  approximately 600 students where 90% of our students qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch.  The allocation and disbursement of funds will be monitored by the members of the Friends of Barry School.  If your finances have not been impacted during this time,  please consider helping the less fortunate.  All of us can give or know someone that can, please pass the word and let's help our people.  Thank you for your support!
