Barry Bush/Phoenix Quill Memorial fund
Donation protected
On 23rd of June, my father Barry Bush (aka Phoenix Quill) went into a diabetic coma and passed away in the hospital.
My dad was a very practical man and had expressed nearly to everyone how absurd he found the concept of being bolted up into an expensive coffin to avoid any possibility of being reclaimed by nature and putting a financial burden on those that proceed him. Knowing this, my sister Katlyn Bush and I felt confident in our decision in having a direct cremation and while we've decided to go with the most affordable options I myself have no income and she makes minimum wage and she's so far had to pay directly out of pocket to make this happen. My sister has been amazing so far in contacting everyone she could to let everyone know about his passing as well as the hospital and the crematorium etc... and it hasn't been easy to sort through and consider everything as well as processing all the emotions that have come with my dad's passing.
I'm asking for donations to help with covering the costs of our father's cremation, purchasing his death certificates and potentially buying an urn. (We're thinking something with phoenix imagery would be the most fitting for more reasons than one). Any extra donations would help in any new expenses we may not have yet considered as well as repairs to his house (Which has been long overdue). If you cannot donate personally, we understand. A lot of us are struggling financially, but anything you can spare would help us greatly and sharing this page and spreading the word would also be extremely helpful. Katlyn and myself have always had eachother's backs and we'd like to invite everyone to help us get through this aspect so that we may be able to focus on planning his memorial which we hope will be a fitting celebration of the life he had and give people opportunity to talk laugh and cry with one another, as well as give my sister and I some much needed time to grieve as his passing is a very great loss and had weighed heavily on us both.
