In 2025, Emily was diagnosed with a brain tumor that could have had life-changing consequences. She underwent traumatic surgery for 9 and a half hours. Thankfully the surgery was successful and Emily is slowly recovering, but the story could have been so different, and we are indebted to Sheffield Children's Hospital for all their awesome work. We thought we'd like to say Thank You by raising money for the charity to allow them to keep up with their work.

To this end, Pete, Emily's dad, is walking from her home town of Louth in Lincolnshire to the hospital in Sheffield, a distance of 68 miles. But not only that, he'll be pushing a wheelbarrow (hence the "Barrowthon") containing Emily's weight in sandbags and, as if that wasn't mad enough, carrying a cement mixer drum on his back (he's a builder, enough said). The walk starts on Monday 14th September, and the plan is to cover 15 miles a day.
You've got to agree, this is some undertaking, so please do give as little or as much as you can to help us reach or even exceed our goal. We, and more importantly, the charity, will be very grateful.

Many thanks to all.
