Barrios Family Emergency

Earlier this week, my son in-law Edsel, was severely injured while doing some work around the house. He was cut deeply by an old piece of glass, and began to bleed out heavily. Luckily, with 2 tourniquets he made it to the hospital, and was taken directly to emergency surgery. Surgeons repaired several severed tendons, a severed ulnar nerve and a severed artery, as well as other nerves. As of right now he has limited feeling in his right hand, and will not be able to use his hand for at least the next six months as he recovers and goes through intense physical and occupational therapy. 

While the Barrios family is so thankful that the outcome was not worse, Edsel will be out of work for an extended period of time, likely going into 2019. At the same time, Michelle will be completing her masters degree program and student teaching full time. I am hoping to raise money so that Edsel can have time to heal, and so that as a family they can cover the medical expenses and their living expenses, and avoid going into deeper debt during this rough time.
