What do you get for a person who has lost everything?

My name is Maceo and I am looking to help my brother Baron get back on his feet after a devastating natural disaster wiped away his home and place of work in Asheville, NC. Government assistance has yet to arrive since his loss so we are are reaching out to our friends, family and extended network. Though I have given to many GoFundMe pages, I never thought I would be setting up one for myself or a loved one. But, I realize now is not a time to let our pride get in the way of asking for support.

He's lost nearly all his belongings, clothing, heirlooms, even my mothers urn in a terrible storm. We're looking to raise funds to kickstart his journey back to stability.

We'll use the funds raised for a down payment on a new place, to replace furniture and housewares (bed, linen, kitchen items etc), and supplement his costs of living while he continues to find new work.

This road has been made harder by the fact that the region itself has not fully recovered, and even those lucky enough to have been spared have been impacted. Additional natural disasters in the nation have moved much of the aid conversation to more immediate areas making it hard to feel worthwhile to ask when other might seem "worse off".

If you feel so inclined please give a little or a lot, I will appreciate it and I can't speak to how big it would be for him to feel the strength of community come to his aid.
