Baron Adora Poso's Chemotherapy
Hi, Baron Adora Poso is a native of Laoang Northern Samar and currently working at University of Eastern Philippines, Laoang Campus. He spent his available time in planning for the necessary activities in order to help others most especially those students who don’t have enough money for education.
He is the founder of the “ Save to Send Project”. The rationale of his project focuses on the education of some students who are having financial difficulties to finish education. He encouraged his friends and relatives to save at least five pesos per day in order to collect a small amount at the end of the month. This amount of money is for the students to meet their basic needs and their tuition fees.
Currently, his project has already produced 2 police officers and 3 licensed professional teachers. The project has 27 college scholars who plan on graduating next year.
His project is remarkable. The scholars of his project becomes the manpower during his monthly activities like book giving, school supply distribution, feeding programs, medical missions, sports festivals during summer and relief operations during calamities.
The social media is being used as a manifestation of his humanitarian activities. Although, he cannot afford to have a website, he managed to create a facebook page “Save to Send Project” so that the activities can be seen by his donors and benefactors.
Last April 2018, he was diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer. Only b1 out of 10 around the globe can have this type of cancer. And the position of his sarcoma is also rare. He was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma with pulmonary nodules or metastases.
I am writing this story just to inform his friends that this man, a very young man need more emotional, spiritual and even financial supports. He just had his surgery last month (August 2018) and he is preparing himself for the upcoming series of chemo therapy.
Although, his wife had just got her job as temporary in the government service, their finances is not enough to sustain the medical needs for hospitalization, medicines, doctors fee and their daily expenses before, during and after series of therapies. He doesn’t have enough means to support these procedures and isn't ready for this kind of disease.
I am writing this story because I want to help this person not only because he needs to live, but we need these kinds of people since many children among far flung barangays are waiting for his books, his medical missions, school repairs, school supplies and even every person who needs blood transfusions.
