Barnies over 45's - Muhammad

Hi guys. As you may or may not be aware Muhammad was injured in our first game this season. He received a knock to his kidneys and has been very uncomfatable and in pain for the last couple of weeks. He has been unable to go to work which is a big problem for him and his family. He doesn't get the normal benefits that we all would expect to access in a timely way. He works for the Foodbank under an Asylum Seeker program.

Muhammed and his family (wife, sons and daughter) are asylum seekers and are on a limited permission Visa. They have very little support and limited access to free medical facilities. Their journey Australia was a very difficult one (maybe chat with Muhammad when you get the chance to) and they spent time moving between refuge camps before finally arriving in Australia. Now they are in the process of applying for permeant residence but nothing is guaranteed which is also very stressful for them.

The big thing right now is that they need our support as they have limited funds and Muhammad is not able to work.
