Friends of the Barnes Family are rallying for support after a house fire leaves Brian Barnes dealing with the loss of all of his physical possessions, but also the loss of his father, Thomas Barnes. Please pray for the emotional trama and consider a donation to help with the physical trama.
Brian is a long-time friend and a "big brother" to one of the organizers of this fund. He has 3 sons and 3 granddaughters. Brian was the full-time care taker of his aging and ill father, Thomas, who lived with him in their Clearwater home. He is a retired professional wrestler and a personal security guard whose whole focus has been taking care of and providing for his dad for the last several years. Brian, who is on disability himself, will have to start-over in life after the fire.
Thomas was a wonderful man. He loved helping others and was quick to jump in when he saw a need... neighbors, friends, or strangers. For years, he was a little league coach. One time, he worked for a paint store and would help customers paint their houses when they couldn't afford to get it done. As Thomas was aging , he required closer supervision. So Brian moved back into his childhood home to avoid sending Thomas to a retirement home. The house fire on October 18th took Thomas' life due to smoke inhalation. It took a great man, a friend, a dad, a grandpa, a great-grandpa.
The loss is real and very fresh right now. We are asking you consider a donation to help get Brian back on his feet. Stuff can be replaced, but Thomas will be gone until met again in eternity.
