Barn Fire Dover, NH - Clean-Up Donations Needed
Donation protected
We're steadily getting to get to a handsome donation. My plan is to bring them what we have been donated so far, so they have something. And just please keep sharing, even if you don't have the means to donate. Any word of mouth can help! Thank you to everyone who has contributed, shared their story, or has even given their prayers. It will mean so much to such kind people who are absolutely devasted.

Hello,
Out of the kindness of my heart I decided to start this gofundme for Bill and his wife at Hickory Hill Farms, located on 245 Dover Back Rd. in Dover, NH. There were two horse deaths EVERY HORSE PERSON'S WORST NIGHTMARE and their beloved chickens. The cause was believed to be from the wicked weather/snow we had recently because they had lost power a couple of times through the storms and they believe it was just the constant surge of the electrical box.
As always, 'All hands on deck', and as I got the call from a fellow horse friend, I rushed over to help, and it was chaos. The heat was so intense that it caught the other two barns on fire, melted the PVC-like fencing, and even the siding on their own home was dripping like wax.
Bill and his wife are an older semi-retired couple who have been running their small horse boarding operation for over 30 years. I know them locally and they are just the kindest, most generous, 'will give you their shirt of their back' kind of people. Being one of the first volunteers to arrive, I gave them the first hugs they've probably had they both burst into tears. They are beside themselves. I cannot imagine what they are going through. Especially, the owner of the two horses that passed and others.
This is a true call for empathy, humanitarianism, in this crazy word. They have been honest, hardworking, generous and kind people, for over 30 years to the Seacoast & Horse Community, Dover, and so much more.
This is when a community needs to come together.
I will run this fundraiser and try to gather as much as we can to help with their recovery efforts. My farm (Triple C Stables) and another have already brought over tack, hay and feed. However, I'm sure the recovery is going to be long - mentally, financially and emotionally.
To my horse community, please help these lovely people. Again, THIS IS EVERY HORSE PERSON'S WORST NIGHTMARE.
Thank you all for your kindness.
