On Monday, January 13th,  the beautiful Barkus family lost their beloved father.   Mark Barkus died without warning and his sudden and untimely death thrust this lovely family into a tidal wave of trauma and grief.

The amount of shock and pain they are experiencing is insurmountable. In addition, as Mark had just started a new job.  He wasn’t with his new employer very long and as a result, the family has lost their health insurance coverage. 

His daughter Brittany, graduated ASU with her masters and is a well respected Clinical Behavioral Analyst helping dozen of families on a weekly basis.  Brit is also newly engaged (only a few weeks previous to this tragedy).  Kimmi just graduated from ASU with honors in December.  Lauren is a successful and hard working college student at ASU and the youngest,  Kara, is a brilliant and dynamic 7th grader.  Ruthie (mom) is a hard working and dedicated woman who has devoted her life to helping the elderly find health care support which has helped countless families.
