Hello Everyone,
Thank you for visiting my page and considering funding my internships abroad in Barcelona, Spain..I am a sophomore at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. I am majoring in Managerial Finance and Investment Analysis in the Walton College of Business with a minor in Business Information Systems. It has always been a dream of mine to travel outside of the United States and now, I have that opportunity along with the privilege of being able to gain career experience with an internship abroad in Barcelona, Spain! I will be gaining invaluable work experience as an intern in Spain for two months, from June 3rd, to July 28th. I will also be earning a Junior elective class credit.
WHAT WILL $6000 GO TOWARDS?
My fundraising goal of $6000 will go toward the program fee for this trip, and the cost of the actual tuition hours for earning class credit through the University of Arkansas. Included in the program fee is my housing for eight weeks in inner city Barcelona, travel fare to and from work, the social and networking events for all of the interns in the program, success and interview coaching prior to departure, and travel and medical insurance.
WHY SHOULD YOU FUND ME?
Your support would be an important piece of the bridge from where I am to where I am going. I believe in working hard and I pour myself into being a full time college student in addition to working a job, volunteering in my community, and keeping up involvement in student organizations like the UARK Trading & Investment Club. You should feel confident that your funding will have a long lasting impact not only on my life but on what I am able to give back to my community.
HOW WILL STUDYING ABROAD IMPACT ME & HELP MY FUTURE GOALS?
After graduation from UofA, I will pursue a master’s degree and potentially a law degree as well. Choosing the right graduate and/or law school to attend is paramount to ensuring a successful post-academic career.. Study and work experience abroad can help me stand out as I seek admissions into top programs for my field. Having international work experience will also give a boost to my career when I prepare to enter the workforce. I look forward to immersing myself in another culture and how that will expand and add to my worldview.
