Barb's Path to Recovery: Every Bit Helps
Help Me Rebuild After Surgeries and Unexpected Setbacks
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
Hi everyone, I have had a bit of shit luck fucking funny right. My knee rubbed a hole in my femur. I bleed into my leg. I’ve been on crutches since April 7th. I have to have both knees replaced. My left one is gone it gave out. My knee replacement is July 8th a new robotic type. Then my car engine blew and I don’t have a car. Then my job decided to have 2. Nurses for the floor instead of a tech. I don’t have a job really to go back too. Seriously I’m not looking for sympathy at all. I’m in a great place learning new life lesson is oddly interesting you learn so much about your self. Growing and learning. I'm reaching out during one of the most challenging times in my life. Over the past year, I’ve endured a series of major medical setbacks — including hip surgery followed by multiple knee surgeries — that have left me physically, emotionally, and financially drained.
Just when I began to hope for recovery, another blow hit: my car gave out completely. Without reliable transportation, getting to follow-up appointments, physical therapy, and even running basic errands has become nearly impossible.
Between mounting medical bills, limited mobility, and no vehicle, I’m struggling to keep up — and I need help.
I’ve always tried to face challenges on my own, but this time, I can’t do it alone. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward medical expenses, transportation repairs or replacement, and essential living costs during this difficult period.
Your support means more than words can express. If you’re not able to donate, please consider sharing my story — it would mean the world to me.
With gratitude,
BARB LAWRENCE
