On Wednesday June 24th there was an electrical fire in the building next door to Bar Birba. Unfortunately we suffered significant damage as our walls needed to be opened up, our bathroom destroyed and we had water enter from the building next door.

Luckily we have insurance that should cover the cost of our fixes and inventory but are in limbo for loss of business which might not be covered and we are stuck waiting to sort out paperwork. Our real priority right now is making sure our staff is taken care of while we sort things out with insurance.

We are setting our goal small because the last thing we want to do is burden our community as we are confident that the majority of our loss will be covered from insurance.

Thankfully no one was injured and it seems even our damage was not nearly as bad as it could have been.

We can't wait to get back open and enjoy the rest of the summer with you all! We will keep everyone posted on our progress via instagram and here!
