On March 12, 2026, a devastating fire in Powell, Wyoming destroyed the home, barn, exterior horse runs, and indoor arena belonging to Barbie Rae Steinheimer. Corrals are not covered under insurance.
Barbie is the owner and caretaker of 19 horses and dedicates her life to helping others. She works as a life coach for individuals with autism, and is also a breeder who raises cow horses. This time of year is especially critical, as it is breeding and foaling season.
The loss of her facility has deeply impacted both Barbie and her horses. Right now, she urgently needs access to a mare motel and additional corrals so the horses can be safely separated and cared for during this important season.
Please reach out if you can assist or share this message with others in the horse community. Every bit of support helps during this difficult time.
