Barbecue Chicken University

Barbecue Chicken University (BBQU) is a nonprofit group set up by a group of caring father's and friends that wanted to see a better future for kids during troubling times, not just nationally, but globally.  Our mission statement is as follows: "Our singular goal is to strengthen the leaders of tomorrow mentally, physically, and emotionally to ensure a brighter future both on and off the field." 
We hold free workouts for any kid who would like to get out and participate. We have boys and girls that have been playing organized sports for years, as well as kids who have never played an organized sport. We will work with anyone who has the desire to be engaged in what we are doing.  We work out every week night from 6-8 PM in Churchill borough in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. 

This started out as a dad and his son working out in the backyard, to now adding more and more kids each week.  We do not charge a fee, but with more kids, we need to get more necessities like, shirts, water, fruit, equipment, etc.  

We were just looking for a way to get kids outside in a positive environment and get some exercise and have some fun and learn along the way. While what they do on the field is important, we emphasize the importance of education as well. We are not just your coaches over the summer, we are there for all of our students, year round. We will assist in any capacity we need to; coach, tutor, mentor, or just a different voice that understands them and what they are experiencing on a daily basis.
